  1. They have the wrong perspective on why yakuza have tattoos… it doesn’t have nothing to do with wealth at all, back in the day they use to walk around with traditional Japanese underwear and they felt like if they got a tattoo coat they won’t be as naked as they feel.

  2. This kinda isn’t true. Lived in japan for 4 years. There’s tattoo shops literally everywhere, they’re not hard to find. Most Japanese do not have tattoos but there’s still a good amount that do, they’re just covered up. They’re not as associated with gang activity as much anymore especially with the Yakuza being very very low in numbers now compared to what they were.

  3. Never heard so many untrue things in such a short period of time in my life, they really got everything wrong. Of course the yakuza is illegal, and people hate them, they are literally seen as bottom filth of society, they stopped being cool 40 years ago.

  4. Honestly, the Yazuka aren't horrible people, as long as you don't fuck with them (like everyone else), they'll leave you alone. Its the smaller gangs you'll have to worry about. The Yakuza are run by people who genuinely believe in honor, most of the time if a subordinate harasses a normal person they may actually get punished depending on what they did to a civilian. Yakuza are only harsh (most of the time) to those that do them wrong. There are always outliers.

  5. Tebori is so cool, I don't have any tattoos, but were I to get some, I would definitely want them in the Tebori style, nothing crazy like a full body suit of course.
